The name comes from the majestic Bay of Bengal where we source our products from. The Bay of Bengal, the world's largest bay, measuring 2.17 million sq-km, can be seen as the central bay within the "Great Middle Bay" of the Indian Ocean. The Bay of Bengal is a treasure trove, possessing unique features, hiding secret phenomena, diverse marine environments, and much more. We source almost 100% of our seaweed from this beautiful and vibrant ocean.

The Bay Seaweed was founded by a group of seaweed enthusiasts who wanted to share their love of this nutrient-rich superfood with the world. We started small, sourcing seaweed from local fishermen and processing it by hand. Today, we have grown into a thriving seaweed export business, with a global network of suppliers and customers.
